We’ve waited a long time for our 10th summer-long season of Christie Pits Film Festival, and the wait is finally over! For Toronto Outdoor Picture Show’s homecoming to its signature series and home park, audiences can look forward to nine Sunday evenings of curated short and feature film pairings in a programme titled Curtains Up!
A cinematic homage to the art of performance, this season highlights the best in sport, drag, music, dance, martial arts, and so much more. After two years of darkened stages, shuttered cinemas, and empty seats, this programme invites us all to fill the natural grass-covered amphitheatre of Christie Pits Park, to sit together and celebrate the big show we’ve all been waiting for.
Curtains Up! is curated by Artistic & Executive Director Emily Reid, TOPS co-founder Felan Parker, and programming contributors Rachel Barclay, David Osubronie, Jon Petrychyn, and Isabella Brown.
